Our Mission and Philosophy

Our mission is to create an authentic Montessori experience in a nurturing, caring environment – instilling a lifelong love of learning by fostering each child’s natural curiosity. We believe in individualizing each child’s education, thereby enabling each to reach his or her full potential.  Our core values of self-motivation and independence, community, grace & courtesy, and respect for the world around us, reflect who we are and serve as a compass for our future.

Children develop a love of learning through hands-on experiences designed to engage and nurture their curiosity. The shared spaces and educational materials provided in the classrooms give the children many opportunities to explore independently. Having the freedom to explore these areas allows children to be rewarded for their curiosity, which encourages the self-motivation to use materials to their fullest and try new, increasingly challenging materials.

Growing Minds encourages a warm, inclusive community through our intimate scale and setting. Open communication between teachers, faculty and families helps build a supportive environment for everyone. Grace & Courtesy is a fundamental aspect of Montessori education which we fully embrace and incorporate into our own set of values. Our peaceful classrooms and guides introduce and support positive social interactions. Children are our future and we want to help them learn to be empathetic and compassionate. We will help them embrace differences, cooperate and problem solve so they can one day help make the world a better place.
